Al Hejara is the first substantial showing of a body of work by the artist Bashir Makhoul, following the success of numerous group exhibitions both in this country and abroad.

Makhoul’s work can be seen and interpreted at several levels, from political and polemic narrative, to minimal and conceptual art, above all he has established an independent identity.

The paintings and installation in this exhibition represent a dynamic, poetic visual discourse, by an artist who continues to create new and challenging works.
